What to do / use for intolerant skin?
I now have extremely intolerant skin which seemed to only get more sensitive / intolerant with each pregnancy.
This is the best piece of natural skin care advice I have been given so sharing for yourselves also.
The best thing for intolerance is to avoid skin care products and let the skin find its naturally healthy balance.
All these products suppress the skins own abilities to do this.
At most some Aloe Vera juice, or some diluted apple cider vinegar or some rose water, or some camomile tea, or some elderflower tea, or some cucumber water, or some diluted lemon water which are all cleansing, soothing and alkalising depending on skin type and severity of the issues and what feels best.
There are some nice mild, minimal ingredients Aloe products, or another option would be a hemp oil salve depending on skin type, again minimal ingredients is best, seaweed water is another really gentle face wash, witchhazel is a good possibility, or vitamin E oil is very good for skin.
It is most likely the skin is reacting to something going on internally and it is being eliminated through the skin which is our largest detox organ. Aloe taken internally can really help with this, cucumber juice, celery juice and lemon juice, apple cider vinegar water and bicarbonate of soda water are all good gentle cleansers internally.
Very likely your body is reacting to and trying to eliminate something like meat or dairy or gluten so while any of the above topical or internal options would help the best thing would be to find the cause and eliminate it.
Do look after yourselves for our bodies are our temples, treat yourselves – each and every day.
