What is most probably a once in a lifetime experience for most people of the world, our chance came about and naturally, my son and I seized the day to make the most of this opportunity to see the awesome Harlem Globetrotters, earlier this year. Never mind the Arsenal vs Reading match which would be taking place right next door at the Wembley Stadium on the exact same day! 😛
My children over time had gradually learnt about who the Harlem Globetrotters was and what sport they played via their increasing appearances on the children’s programmes. I tell you what, these TV appearances is nothing compared to watching and seeing them in real life. I was completely unprepared for how scintillating they would be and I even found myself cheering them on – surprising myself as I am a very laid back and private person yet there I was, absorbed in the moment and loving every minute of it.
The various enthused looks on my son’s face was absolutely priceless as he too, was cherishing every (very lively!) minute and so this relatively became a night, to remember – for the rest of our lives.
If you get the opportunity to see them live – take it. Without any doubts.
Sharing and cherishing these kind of moments with your loved ones is what memories are made of and be sure to capture the moments as I have done, for posterity.
For my son.
